Ayelet Zurer from Angels & Demons

During the Jerusalem Film Festival where Ayelet Zurer is a special guest, she was presented her own achievement award by the festival’s founding president, Lia van Leer. The prize is something that would congratulate Ayelet Zurer for her achievement in Hollywood, giving her home country, Israel, the necessary homage.

Ayelet Zurer was back home for the festival, where her independent film Light Bulb was presented. Ayelet was now given the recognition to be one of Israel’s cultural ambassador. In her speech, she pleaded not to hurt Israeli cinema.

Ayelet Zurer is back home to promote her latest movie, Lightbulb, in the Jerusalem Film Festival. Ayelet is an accomplished Israeli actress whose fame back home equates to what Julia Roberts enjoys in Hollywood.

Ayelet’s new movie is an American independent film about two friends who engage in gadgetry and inventions to make their life better. Ayelet plays the wife of one of the two men.

Ayelet will stay in Jerusalem for the entire lenght of the festival, which runs from July 18 to 27. The 10-day festivities featured more than 200 films coming from 35 countries. Ayelet’s movie, Lightbulb, served as the festival’s opening film.
